In November of 2009 Access had it's first prelaunch service to talk about a new church in the Bangor area.  The vision was to create a church that unchurched people would love to attend.  A church for people who don't like church.

On March 28th we launched and were very excited to create the kind of environment we had dreamed.  The only problem was that we didn't have enough people to create the kind of place that unchurched people would truly love to attend.

Since launching Access Church we got to know The Rock Church a lot better.  They actually have an identical vision.  With the desire to create a church for the unchurched they've grown to be a church of 600 people.  We didn't start this church to segregate ourselves from the churches in the community but to further a vision.  The Rock Church is already seeing that vision out.

On Jun 13th we had our final service at Access and we ended for the exact same reason we started.  We want be a church that unchurched people love to attend.
